The NeuroRescue Cooling Collar allows EMT’s to non-invasively initiate therapeutic hypothermia in field with off the shelf cold packs while seamlessly transitioning at the hospital to controlled and monitored continuous flow cooling throughout definitive care for post-cardiac arrest with return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).
Dr. Immesoete is a founding Member of NeuroRescue LLC. Phillip Immesoete, MD, received his medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and was chief resident at Columbus Children’s Hospital, Riverside Methodist Hospital, and Ohio State University Medical Center. He then went on to complete his fellowship training in Spine Oncology at Ohio State University Medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. His special interests include Aneurysms, Brain Tumors, Carpal Tunnel, Chiari Malformations, Computer Navigated Spine and Brain Surgery, Epilepsy Surgery, Head Trauma, Herniated Discs, Lumbar and Cervical Artificial Disc Surgery, Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Neck & Back Pain, Peripheral Nerve, Skull-Based Procedures, Spinal Fusions, Spine Fractures, Spine Tumors, and Stroke.
Michael is a founding Member of NeuroRescue LLC. and inventor of the NeuroRescue Cooling Collar while a paramedic and firefighter for over 19 years. Maher is an inventor and serial entrepreneur while assisting with the successful launch of multiple startup companies. Maher has invented multiple products for use in the public service/public safety space. Maher has been successful in raising multiple rounds of seed funding from the Ohio Third Frontier Program. Maher has strong experience regulatory compliance for medical products. Maher also has a strong knowledge in the patent process as well as device design and manufacturing.
Dr. Bonasso is a founding Member of NeuroRescue LLC. Dr. Bonasso completed his undergraduate and medical degree from The University of Cincinnati. He then completed his residency in Neurosurgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, specializing in a wide range of adult neurosurgery. He has extensive experience in the surgical treatment of all aspects of spinal disease, benign and malignant brain tumors, pituitary tumors, intracranial aneurysms, Chiari malformations and peripheral nerve disorders including carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar neuropathy.
